This Editorial Policy explains how Portafixly researches, writes, reviews and updates its content, and how we keep it independent and trustworthy.

Who writes our content

All guides are produced in-house and attributed to a named author with hands-on espresso repair experience. We do not publish anonymous or purchased content, and we do not accept sponsored guest posts.

How we research

Guides are based on first-hand repair and brewing experience, manufacturer documentation, reputable industry sources and, where relevant, direct testing on real machines. Where we cite a factual claim, we link to a credible source.

Review and accuracy

Every article is reviewed for accuracy and safety before publishing. We prioritise ordered, technician-style troubleshooting – the cheap and common causes first – and we clearly flag when a job should be left to a professional.

Corrections and updates

When information changes, or a reader flags an error we can verify, we update the article and, for significant changes, note it. To request a correction, email [email protected].

Independence

Our recommendations are editorially independent. Manufacturers do not pay for coverage, and no brand can influence our verdicts. Any affiliate relationships are disclosed on our Affiliate Disclosure page and never change what we recommend.

Advertising

Advertising, where present, is kept clearly separate from editorial content and never dictates what we publish.
